How can you trust a feeling?
When a feeling is all you had?
For that brief moment between heart beats
When life and death seem intertwined
Your breaths are deeper, faster, harder,
And your palms begin to sweat
Love, hate, pain, sorrow all coalesce
In a symphony of beauty and madness
Vivid are the memories
Longing for what may be
Swirling, turning, swarming in your head
Every thought rushing forward to that exact moment
Love has no boundaries
Hate holds no sway
Pain is but temporary
Sorrows go away
But,
How can you trust a feeling?
When a feeling is all you had?
